Democrats, we have a unique opportunity to win elections in Republican-leaning States or Districts

Truly one of the great frustrations of our political conversation is that Republicans have somehow convinced voters that the Republican Party does a better job of running our country and our economy.  It doesn't matter that it's not true - the Republican Party has used this lie to win elections for decades, and turn Blue States red. ​

President Trump is doing an epically bad job of managing our country and our economy.  Almost every day, he reminds voters that for all of the talk of economic populism, the Republican Party first and foremost takes care of the wealthy.  He has also unleashed the cruelty of the far right for all to see.  And finally forcing the mid-decade gerrymandering based on Trump’s 2024 victory will result in many more US House seats that are competitive.  

WHAT IT'S GOING TO TAKE FOR A DEMOCRAT TO WIN IN A RED STATE OR DISTRICT?
Winning voter's trust is dependent on convincing people of two things:  
  • That the candidate and Democratic Party can be trusted to oversee our economy.
  • That the candidate and Democratic Party aren’t extreme on social issues.
The purpose of this website is to help Democratic Candidates, activists, voters, regain voters' trust.  To remind them that it is the Democratic Party that was, is and always will be the party of working Americans.​

The Message has to be the Economy
We Democrats seem to lead with compassion far more than we lead with economics.  Yes, the compassion matters, but we have to reconnect with voters on economic issues, remind them that it is the Democratic Party that does a better job of making their lives better.

Bubble Up Economics

 is how theory translates into a policy approach.  Almost every policy Democrats support falls under the heading of Bubble Up Economics.  THIS is the connection to economic policy that all Democratic candidates need to deploy.  We are the party of Bubble Up Economics.  We need to remind voters of that, over and over again.

We need shared Signature Issues

It’s not enough to talk about what we got right in the past.  We need signature economic issues that highlight what we will do once we are back in power.  Concrete policy proposals that highlight that the Democratic Party is the party focused on making voters’ lives better

We have to get back to Moderated Capitalism

Politics isn’t history, but the history matters.  “Moderated Capitalism” was invented by the Democratic Party, and it’s why we have the largest economy in the world.  Talking philosophy of government rarely wins elections, but it has to be the foundation of what we do talk about, and the issues we highlight.
